Throughout the existence of the financial services industry, Emerging Technology (EmTech) has been a major key player in expanding the spectrum of the industry as well as substantially raising its standards. Since 2008, technological advancements have seen the reshaping of financial services such as payments, investments, asset management, clearance, securities settlement, and have even seen the introduction of cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin.

Under the patronage of the Central Bank of Bahrain; the Bank of Bahrain and Kuwait, in collaboration with the Bahrain Institute for Banking and Finance, have organized a 2-day EmTech Summit & Expo, providing an interactive learning platform to be up-to-date with the latest EmTech trends and its relevance & importance to the financial service sector. Additionally, the Expo will allow people to showcase and present the latest technological devices or ideas, whilst at the same time educating others with their knowledge in a professional & respectful environment.
