BIBF CEO Dr. Ahmed Al Shaikh Receives Honorary Degree by The London Institute of Banking & Finance

The Bahrain Institute of Banking and Finance (BIBF) announced that its Chief Executive Officer, Dr. Ahmed Al Shaikh, has been awarded an Honorary Degree by the London Institute of Banking & Finance (LIBF).
This recognition was presented during an esteemed award ceremony in London’s iconic Guildhall, celebrating Dr. Al outstanding accomplishments and significant contributions to the global banking and financial industry, as well as his enduring commitment to the education sector and the development of local talent in the banking sector and other areas. It also reflects the institute’s outstanding leadership and commitment to delivering education at international standards and the highest levels of quality and professionalism in alignment with its vision to provide the banking and finance sector with highly skilled workforce and enhance the Kingdom’s position as a regional training and education hub.
During the ceremony, Mr. Alex Fraser, Chief Executive Officer of the London Institute of Banking and Finance (LIBF), commended Dr. Ahmed Al-Shaikh’s outstanding achievements, stating, “We are honored to confer this Honorary Degree upon Dr. Ahmed Al-Sheikh, not only for his exceptional contributions to the financial services landscape in Bahrain but also for his unwavering commitment to education.” Emphasizing the importance of this Honorary Degree, he added, “This title is bestowed upon individuals who have made exceptional contributions to the banking and financial services sector, as it has previously been awarded to distinguished figures, including a former British Prime Minister.”
Dr. Ahmed Al-Shaikh expressed his profound pride in receiving this prestigious Honorary Degree from the London Institute of Banking and Finance. He emphasized that this recognition reflects the outstanding work carried out by the institute’s dedicated team. Dr. Al-Shaikh further underscored that this honor aligns with the directives of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, to develop the learning and academic process to achieve the best educational outcomes that cope with the developments of the labour market, enhance the students’ academic achievements, as well as promote national and moral values among them and cement their national belonging.
