The BIBF partners with Tamkeen
The Bahrain Institute of Banking and Finance (BIBF) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Tamkeen that will see the Kingdom as the leading supporter of empowering Bahrainis to prosper and contribute to the national economy. Tamkeen will be the Strategic Partner for the upcoming Bahrain International Project Management Convention. The month long convention will run throughout the month of November at the BIBF campus in Juffair, under the patronage of the Central Bank of Bahrain.
The Convention, which is an initiative coordinated by the BIBF, is the first of its kind event to take place in the region. The programme will include a series of training courses, workshops and corporate activities highlighting various topics related to the science and art of project management. It has been designed to promote further awareness about this discipline, with the ultimate goal of enhancing project deliverables in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
The partnership agreement was signed by the BIBF’s Deputy Director Dr. Ahmed Abdulhameed Al Shaikh and Tamkeen’s Chief Executive Dr. Ebrahim Janahi at a meeting held recently at Tamkeen’s headquarters.
Dr. Al Shaikh extended his appreciation to Tamkeen saying that the event will be a great opportunity for personnel from across different industries to learn and develop their skills, benefitting from the expertise of leading industry experts.
“This partnership comes at a time when the project management discipline is growing and more organisations recognise its importance for delivering better results within a given projects’ framework. Consequently, the BIBF is very proud to be part of this thriving industry. At the BIBF, we know that ongoing professional development plays a tremendous role in the success of projects,” added Dr. Al Shaikh.
Tamkeen’s Chief Executive Dr. Ebrahim Janahi praised BIBF’s initiative and expressed their support to ensure the success of the month long convention. He added, “We in Tamkeen believe in empowering Bahrainis to prosper and contribute to the national economy and seek initiatives that fall under our overall strategy to increase growth in Bahrain economy. The Project Management Convention with its high calibre trainers and comprehensive range of programmes and workshops promises to be a very worthwhile opportunity not to be missed.”
The convention will comprise of 30 specialised workshops conducted by professional Project Management International Experts that cover all business sectors. A first of its kind in the Kingdom of Bahrain, a competition in the project management field will be launched as part of the convention. The competition will be a practical implementation of project management principles that will help learners to apply and better understand the principles of project management, from beginning to the delivery of a product or result.
