Stephen Wagstaff is the Group Insurance Manager at Yusuf Bin Ahmed Kanoo Group, based in Bahrain, however, was the Country Manager at AXA Bahrain from 2007 to 2016, and BIA Board member for a number of years.

The role at YBA Kanoo involves looking after the group's global insurance programme for all lines of business, including both risk and claims management. Through the Kanoo's ownership of AXA Gulf, Stephen is also a board member of AXA Cooperative - KSA, Member of the Risk Committee and N&R Committee for AXA Gulf.

Stephen has more than 30 years of experience in the insurance sector across multiple countries. Prior to joining AXA, Stephen's earlier roles included, Royal & Sun Alliance in Saudi Arabia - 11 Years, QBE Insurance - Australia, SA Eagle in South Africa and Eagle Star in the UK.

Stephen is a certified Insurer from the Chartered Insurance institute in the United Kingdom.
