SPEAKER PROFILE

Manal Mashkoor graduated from the University of Bahrain with honours in Business Information Systems in 2006 and joined BIBF in 2008 after spending three years at the Arab Insurance Group (Arig), one of the region's leading  reinsurers, as a systems developer within its graduate management programme.

Manal is the Head of Insurance Centre at BIBF.  She has since completed DePaul University's Master of Science Degree in Human Resources (MSHR); the Advanced Diploma of the Chartered Insurance Institute (ACII); LOMA USA's Diplomate, Life and Health Insurance (DLHI); and is the first Bahraini female to have earned the elite Fellowship of the Chartered Insurance Institute (FCII).

Ms. Mashkoor has also completed all three BIBF Insurance Diplomas and was awarded the student of the year in two categories in a BIBF graduation ceremony held in 2007. In 2015, the Ministry of Labour presented her with the "Best Trainer Award" at their 7th Annual Ceremony for Training.

She has conducted insurance training across the MENA region and seeks to further develop knowledge in the insurance-related areas of principle-based regulation, corporate governance, consumer education and the sustainability of Takaful insurance.
