Free online courses to support personal development
To equip business professionals with the necessary skills during these uncertain times, the Bahrain Institute of Banking and Finance (BIBF) announced free online training courses in various business areas such as Banking, Finance, Islamic Finance, Leadership, Management, Digital Transformation, Project Management, and Insurance.
More than 20 top-picked courses are offered free of charge, enabling employees to pick up new skills and invest in their personal development and career, ranging from “Budgeting During Uncertain Times”, “Managing a Remote Team”, “Handling Pressure”, “Islamic Economics and Finance”, “Business Continuity Management: Preparing for a Pandemic”, and “Insurance Fraud”. The courses will be delivered virtually through the BIBF MyClass 2.0 e-Learning Platform, which is linked with Office 365.
BIBF’s Director, Dr. Ahmed Al Shaikh said, “With companies enforcing a work from home policy and cities going into lock down to prevent the spread of COVID-19, personal development is a crucial aspect which will determine how we come out at the end of this pandemic.”
He added, “The BIBF is strongly committed to providing training opportunities to prepare skilled and talented workforce and uplift their career prospects during the lockdown period. We believe in the importance of training and education in unlocking human potential, contributing to business continuity and prosperity.”
Dr. Al Shaikh also stressed on the importance of training and human capital development as a strategic objective of the BIBF to support the progression of markets in the Kingdom of Bahrain, consequently forming a strong, sustainable and balanced ecosystem for the national economy.
Interested participants will be required to visit www.bibf.com and register online for the desired course(s), keeping in mind that registration will be on a first-come first-serve basis with a capacity of 100 students per course.
