The BIBF Celebrates Bahraini Women’s Achievements
The Bahrain Institute of Banking & Finance (BIBF) celebrated the national occasion of Bahraini Women’s Day, which this year recognises and celebrates the role of women in higher education and the opportunities for participation in the field of future sciences.
The BIBF noted the importance of gender diversity in the workplace, where women and men stand shoulder to shoulder in developing sound educational and training programmes that cater to the financial services sector with the aim of further developing human capital potential in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
With 60 percent female talents within its workforce, the BIBF is proud to be a women-driven organisation, embracing a women empowerment and gender equality culture that focuses on quality education for learners, whereby female employees represent all learning centres and levels of expertise.
Over the past year, the BIBF has held several workshops and masterclasses that especially cater for women’s career advancement in the workplace, providing insights by experts on various topics pertaining to leadership development and women’s career development. Going forward, the BIBF’s strategy also focuses on several women-centred initiatives that place skills advancement as its top priority.
Bahraini Women’s Day is celebrated annually on December 1 as part of an initiative by HRH Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, Wife of His Majesty the King and President of the Supreme Council for Women (SCW) to honour the achievements and valuable insights and contribution made by Bahraini women towards the development and progress of the Kingdom of Bahrain.
