The BIBF honours more than 300 graduates of Professional Certifications
Under the patronage of the Central Bank of Bahrain (CBB), the Bahrain Institute of Banking and Finance (BIBF) honoured more than 300 graduates of its Professional Certifications in the Islamic Finance, Insurance and Banking specialisations which was held at The Crown Plaza Hotel.
More than 300 students have successfully completed their programmes, receiving certifications in the Banking, Insurance and Islamic Finance specialisations. Graduates from the Islamic Finance Specialisation received their certification in ADIF (Advanced Islamic Finance Diploma) and ADICJ (Advanced Islamic Diploma in Commercial Jurisprudence). In the Insurance specialisation, graduates received their certification in Intermediate Insurance Diploma (BIID), Advanced Insurance Diploma (BAID) and Management Insurance Diploma. As for the Banking specialisation, graduates received their certification in Banking Studies Professional Diploma (BSDP).
On this occasion, Dr. Huda AlMaskati, Executive Director – Corporate Services, Central Bank of Bahrain said, “The Central Bank of Bahrain is proud of today’s graduating students as successful role models for the nation’s labour force. With their contributions we will be able to expand our reach in developing the kingdom’s financial infrastructure and continue to enhance our position as the leading financial hub of the Middle East.”
The BIBF’s Director, Solveig Nicklos, addressed the graduates and applauded their hard work, resilience and continuous efforts in improving their professional careers. In addition, she emphasised the importance of pursuing further education such as professional qualifications to enhance Bahrain’s economic growth in accordance with Vision 2030. Moreover, she stated: “The BIBF recognises the significance of Professional Certifications as a tool to empower Bahrainis and qualify them for important functional and support roles. The BIBF continues to be a centre of excellence within the training industry. Being a pioneer in quality education and providing excellence in many fields such as Banking, Insurance and Islamic Finance in addition to other fields of expertise such as Marketing, Sales and PR, Human Resources, Business Communication, Leadership and Management. We are extremely proud of our graduates and wish them every success in their future endeavours.”
The BIBF Deputy Director Dr. Ahmed Al Shaikh, also commended the graduates on their performance and indicated that the graduation ceremony was a confirmation of BIBF’s commitment to satisfy business needs across all sectors. He also noted the focus on Bahrain’s economic development goals, through the provision of highly qualified local human capital, as a key national effort and highlighted the BIBF’s commitment and contribution as a training provider of quality programmes, towards achieving these goals.
He also added “The Islamic Finance Qualifications offered by the BIBF is a part of the institute’s leading efforts to develop qualified human capital in the area of Islamic Finance as both The ADICJ and ADIF courses were developed by the BIBF as the first certification of its kind in the world focusing on Islamic Finance foundation and Islamic commercial jurisprudence from the perspective of Islamic financial institutions, combining both theory and practice, and ultimately leading to a Master’s Degree from the University of Bolton in the United Kingdom.
